Missouri Basketball Ticket Preview

Over the past few seasons, the Missouri Tigers Men’s Basketball team has been one of the most consistent and successful programs in all of collegiate sports. Since taking over the program in 2011, Coach Frank Haith has posted an astonishing record of 56-17 with the Tigers and has led them to an NCAA Tournament appearance in each of his first two seasons.

This year, the Missouri Tigers are out to a 15-4 and have been fluctuating in and out of the Top 25 rankings. They have a difficult stretch of games coming up soon that will either punctuate their trip to the dance, or keep them dangling on the bubble. The Tigers first host the #11 ranked Kentucky Wildcats on February 1st in Columbia for their biggest game of the season thus far. If you’re looking to grab some Missouri basketball tickets for the game, this one will not come cheap. This game is the highest priced home game the Tigers will have all season long, despite the fact that ticket prices have trended down by 21% over the last week and are currently averaging $120 with a get-in of $66.

After the Wildcats, the Tigers then head out on the road to Gainesville to play the excellent Florida Gators who have ascended all the way up to #3 in the country sitting at a record of 17-2 with both losses coming on the road against Top 20 teams (Wisconsin and UConn). This game will be the Tigers biggest of the season and can have a huge impact on their seeding come Selection Sunday. If they can pull off the upset, Missouri could be looking at a top-4 seed in one of the regions.

Missouri’s cheapest home game is their February 19th contest versus the Vanderbilt Commodores which is averaging $41 but has an unbelievably low get-in price of just $9. If you’re looking to see Missouri play this year, but want to save some money, the Vanderbilt game is your best option.
