Missouri: America’s discount smoke superstore

The cheapest priced cigarettes in all of ‘merica will be in Missouri come July 1.

Last month, South Carolina lawmakers voted to increase the tax on cigarettes to 57 cents per pack, our friends at the Riverfront Times point out. Compare that to Missouri’s 17 cents per pack tax.

That’s good news for smokers in Missouri, which boasts the sixth largest population of smokers in the nation, according to data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
