Miley Cyrus cancels tonight’s Kansas City tour date due to illness

In a press release we just received, the people in the Miley Cyrus camp confirmed the thing that we have been fearing: The flu that Cyrus has been reportedly nursing these last couple of days has compromised the singer’s health, and she has canceled her Kansas City date tonight at the Sprint Center.

Cue breaking hearts around the city, this author’s included (for real). I truly feel for all the malls that will have to absorb the massive crowds tomorrow as teens swarm Forever 21 and PacSun, reclaiming the allowances they spent on the perfect outfit for tonight’s show. 

From the press release: “Cyrus has been hospitalized for a severe allergic reaction to antibiotics and has been placed on medical rest by her doctors. She will not be able to perform as scheduled.” 

Refunds for tickets will be available at the point of purchase; tickets purchased online or by phone will be automatically refunded. No news yet on a rescheduled KC date.
