Mike Tyson’s face tattoo artist sues Warner Bros. over replica tat in The Hangover II

A Missouri tattoo artist is suing Warner Bros. in federal court claiming “copyright infringement” due to a replica Mike Tyson face tattoo that appears on actor Ed Helms‘ face in The Hangover II.

Tattoo artist S. Victor Whitmill wants an injunction blocking the “pirated tattoo” from showing up in the movie, which hits theaters May 26, and in ads. In his lawsuit, Whitmill says he tattooed Tyson in Las Vegas in 2003, and the former boxing champion signed a release saying Whitmill owned the copyright to the artwork. The film’s trailer shows Helms waking up after a drunken night with that tat on his face. Tyson made a cameo in the first film. Read the full lawsuit after the jump.
