Midwasteland Takeover CD Showcases KC Talent at SXSW

For KC transplants to the Lone Star State, SXSW has the potential this year to seem like a homecoming. The Midwasteland Takeover takes over Austin’s Canvas Bar & Gallery from March 18-20, bringing a slew of Kansas City’s best and brightest. The website has the full lineup and schedule.

As if that wasn’t enough, there’ll be beer and CDs for the taking. The website will soon have music from every artist available for download, but to get you all hyped, you can take a look at the comp’s track listing below. The whole thing was curated by Sonic Spectrum’s Robert Moore and mastered by Duane Trower, and the line-up is diverse, yet quite representative of what Kansas City has to offer the music world at large.
