Michelle Preston, ex-Shawnee Mission West teacher, accused of having sex with three students
Speaking of inappropriate teacher-student relationships: Johnson County prosecutors charged former Shawnee Mission West teacher Michelle Preston with three counts of engaging in unlawful sexual relations, KCTV5 reported.
Preston, 27, is accused of engaging in consensual sex with three students between September 1 and December 31, the TV station reported. She’s slated to appear in court October 4.
In May, the school board voted against renewing Preston’s contract. Preston was a third-year psychology and world geography instructor and cheerleading coach. The board cited a violation of district policy forbidding inappropriate behavior with students as a reason for her dismissal.
