Michael Thompson accused of killing Darrell Dancy for breaking a window (updated)

Update (3:45 p.m. June 2): Michael Thompson has been charged with second-degree murder and armed criminal action in the death of Darrell

Dancy. The police report offers a lot more detail.

Michael Thompson’s son told police that a brick was thrown through the

window of Thompson’s home in a room where his brother and infant nephew were staying. Thompson claimed his father said, “I’m tired of

them breaking shit,” and ran out of the home. He claimed his father

returned to the house, holding a .380 caliber handgun with a laser

sight.

Two friends of Dancy told police that they drove him to Thompson’s home

so he could throw a brick through a window. Dancy told them that he

wanted to break out a window because he had been in a fight with “Little

Mikey” the night before.
