Michael Kaiser, Kennedy Center president, says KC has a chance to be ‘renowned for its cultural life’

In less depressing arts news, Michael Kaiser is really excited about the opening of the Todd Bolender Center for Dance and Creativity and the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts.
Kaiser, the president of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C., wrote a glowing column on the Huffington Post about the newly opened Bolender Center.
Kaiser writes that Kansas City has a chance to be “renowned for its cultural life and the way the arts are engrained in the life of the community.”
“At a time when most cities are reducing investment in the arts, how refreshing it is to be in Kansas City where the arts are flourishing,” Kaiser wrote.
