Mayor Mark Funkhouser loses beer bet to St. Louis mayor

Kansas City, we have failed Mayor Mark Funkhouser. Well, not me but some of you guys.

Our esteemed mayor bet with St. Louis Mayor Francis Slay that Kansas Citians would return more census forms than the good people of St. Louis.

The Funk wagered a case of Kansas City’s best beer (a case

of Boulevard is heading east) and barbecue (gotta be Oklahoma Joe’s or

Jack Stack).

But Funk’s faith in us was all for naught.
