Mayor Funkhouser likes ‘man dates’
I’d like to say that I’m making this up, but I can’t. Mayor Mark Funkhouser has declared Thursday, March 19, “Man Date Day” in Kansas City. Don’t believe me? Click on the proclamation below. It’s all part of the promotion for Paul Rudd’s new flick, I Love You, Man. I’m not sure I can top the press release:
To celebrate National Man Date Day, a party will be held at Jerry’s Bait Shop/Lee’s Summit. Men are encouraged to come out and just be boys for the night. A “man cave” contest will be held in which contestants will have five minutes to create the best “man cave” with assorted items. A burping contest and a secret handshake contest will be held for men to win I LOVE YOU, MAN prize packs. Additionally, there will be no cover charge for the men, and Jerry’s Bait Shop will create I LOVE YOU, MAN drink specials.
Actually, Paul Rudd seems more like a Dave’s Stagecoach guy.
