Matt Bartle claims he never thought his bill would kill strip clubs. Really?

The Kansas City Star has a good write-up on the woeful state of Missouri’s adult industry as it struggles to adapt to new rules banning nudity and alcohol sales. For the most part, it’s stuff we’ve heard before: Dancers are leaving for places they can make money (i.e., Kansas); business is bad.

But Sen. Matt Bartle, the man responsible for stomping on the First Amendment’s throat, finally shared what he expected to happen to these businesses under the new law. He’s either the most naive politician ever or the most full of shit.
