Mates of State is playing a free show at Frank’s North Star Tavern tonight at 7 p.m.
Connecticut by way of San Francisco by way of good old Lawrence, Kansas, Kori Gardner and Jason Hammel of Mates of State are back in their old home in Lawrence for an evening for a “warmup” show at Frank’s North Star Tavern (508 Locust, north Lawrence) at 7 p.m. They will be performing again tomorrow and Wednesday at the Midland, opening for some band no one has ever heard of, the Postal Service.
