Masses debut “Seekers” from forthcoming EP

Masses (formerly known as Sizelove) have a new EP coming out in June, and guitarist Adam Hess sent us an unmastered track off it, called “Seekers.” His enthusiastic missive had this to say about the recording process:

We wanted something organic. We were tired of sacrificing quality for money, such as in the studio. We wanted a process, an evolution. This journey took us to churches, sheds, retail stores, bedrooms, closets, and open spaces. We began hearing things we’ve never heard before and expounding on them, adding textures slowly and methodically much as one would carve stone. It was painstaking work, but it was a labor of love.

Masses play tonight at the Record Bar with Lonnie Fisher and the Funeral and Wade Ogle & The Mad Spirits.
