Marrion Denmon’s funeral disrupted by gunfire; homicide victim’s service turns chaotic

The funeral in question is for Marion Denmon, the cousin of Missouri Tigers basketball star Marcus Denmon. KMBC Channel 9 reports that the service was just letting out when someone opened fire. The Star reports

that shots were fired outside of the Macedonia Baptist Church at 25th and Benton around

12:20 p.m. leading to “chaotic scene” with about 300 people spilling

into the street from the funeral.
