Marion Denmon, KCMO homicide No. 99: Man killed in a crossfire

UPDATE: Marion Denmon was the cousin of University of Missouri-Columbia basketball player Marcus Denmon, according to KSHB Channel 41.

Kansas City, Missouri, is one homicide away from topping 100 after Marion Denmon was killed in a crossfire between two vehicles.

Kansas City police give this account: On December 3, Denmon and another man were driving near Cleaver II and Elmwood around 2:19 a.m. when they were caught between two vehicles engaged in a rolling gun battle. Denmon was shot and taken to a local hospital, where he died from his wounds around noon on Tuesday.
