Marcel Nelson, KCMO homicide 47: Man fatally shot at Linwood and 71 Highway

Marcel Nelson, 26, was the victim of Monday’s homicide at Linwood and 71 Highway.

Officers at Central Patrol heard

heavy gunfire near Linwood and 71 Highway around 8:50 p.m. At

the scene, they witnessed a bullet-riddled vehicle traveling at 5 miles per

hour on the north sidewalk at Linwood and Michigan.

Inside the vehicle were two men suffering from life-threatening injuries

after being shot.

Nelson later died from his injuries. He is Kansas City, Missouri’s 47th homicide victim of 2010.
