Marc Maron is coming to Lawrence in June as part of Free State Fest
Been digging on the events Lawrence Arts Center has been putting on lately – John Cale and John Waters already this year. At the end of next month, the organization is throwing Free State Fest, a five-day celebration of music, art and film in downtown Lawrence that includes performances from Grant Hart, Johnny Winter and Quixotic. Also: a set from comedian-actor-podcast host Marc Maron.
Maron hasn’t visted KC or Lawrence since his podcast, WTF with Marc Maron, blew up and became one of iTunes’ most popular audio downloads, so this is exciting for fans of his neurotic ranting. He’ll be performing a comedy set at LAC on Tuesday, June 24, at 8 p.m. Tickets are $25. More on Free State Fest here.
