A gunfight between Kansas City, Kansas, police officers and a suspect in a home invasion ended with a cop shot in the arm and suspect in critical condition.

KCK cops responded to an armed disturbance call in the 100 block of South 16th Street around 3:57 p.m. Thursday. Victims of a home invasion were involved in an altercation with the suspects.

Cops stopped a vehicle matching the description of the suspects’ vehicle at 13th Street and Central Avenue. Two of the suspects were arrested. A third suspect ran into Glenn’s Pre-Owned Appliances, according to KMBC Channel 9. Police followed. The man fired shots at the officers, striking one.
