Man shot to death, body found in vehicle on sidewalk at Linwood and Michigan

A shooting Monday night has left one man dead and another with life-threatening injuries.

Officers at Central Patrol heard heavy gunfire near Linwood and 71 Highway around 8:50 p.m. Officers at the scene witnessed a bullet-riddled vehicle traveling at 5 miles per hour on the north sidewalk at Linwood and Michigan.

Inside the vehicle were two men suffering from life-threatening injuries after being shot.

One of the shooting victims — described as a black male in his twenties — later died from his injuries.
