Lyle Lovett performs at the Symphony in the Flint Hills 10th anniversary event in June

Texas singer-songwriter and Grammy Award-winning artist Lyle Lovett has been tapped to perform at the 10th anniversary Symphony in the Flint Hills event. This year, the event takes place in the same national park where it began: the Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve in Manhattan, Kansas. The concert takes place on Saturday, June 13.

Lovett has a long history of supporting the endangered grasslands; in 2010, he narrated the PBS documentary Last Stand of the Tallgrass Prairie. That same year, he performed at the fifth anniversary of the Symphony in the Flint HIlls.

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 7. Ticket information here or at the Kansas City Symphony box office.
