Loyal Hayes accused of killing John and Joseph Hooker, putting bodies in shopping cart (updated)

Updated (3:24 p.m. June 2 from original story on 7 a.m. June 1): A witness told police that Loyal R. Hayes invited John and Joseph Hooker to
his
mother’s house at 4511 Monroe so he could rob and kill them.
But Hayes, 23, was allegedly worried about getting blood inside his mother’s house, the witness claimed. So he took the Hooker brothers outside. But there were too many people outside. So he took them to the basement
where he allegedly shot them multiple times. He then wrapped their
bodies in garbage bags and stuffed them in a
shopping cart, which he left behind a home at 4501 Askew last Thursday
Hayes is now charged with two counts of murder and two counts of armed criminal action in the deaths of John
Hooker, 21, and Joseph Hooker, 19.
