Lou Engle, nutso homophobic preacher, expressed support for Uganda anti-homosexuality bill before apologizing about it

Nutbag apocalyptic preacher (and BFF of U.S. Sen. Sam Brownback) Lou “A Sexual Insanity Will Be Unleashed Upon the Earth” Engle apologized a couple of weeks ago after legislation that would impose a life sentence or the death penalty for the “crime” of

“aggravated homosexuality” in Uganda was promoted at one of his TheCall events in that country. Engle pleaded ignorance, claiming he left the prayer meeting early to catch a flight and didn’t find out about the bill getting publicized until much later.

One prominent author, Jeff Sharlet, is questioning Engle’s sincerity.
