Creative types who can never resist costume opportunities gather for the Lord of Misrule Venetian Mardi Gras Fundraising Party, a benefit for the Kansas City Fringe Festival at Fringe Central (1730 Broadway). Chow down on jambalaya and get your face or other body parts painted. Admission is $20 in advance or $25 at the door. The party lasts from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m. See kcfringe.org.
