Looking for World Cup Tickets? Check Out viagogo, the World’s Largest Ticket Exchange

We are just a little over a month away from the 2014 FIFA World Cup taking place in host country Brazil. There’s a few friendlies remaining for each team, but other than that, the managers are finalizing their rosters and deciding who will be their starters. It’s also coming down to the wire for individuals interested in attending the World Cup, so we spoke with viagogo, the world’s largest ticket exchange, to provide you with a breakdown on ticket prices for some of the marquee matchups. Viagogo offers the best access to the World Cup compared with any other ticket seller, providing the widest selection of World Cup tickets to every match in the tournament at very affordable prices.

Other than the two semifinals matches and the finals match, the opening match between host country Brazil and Croatia is the most expensive matchup, with an average ticket price of $2,149. Tickets begin for as low as $1,179 so, comparatively speaking, even the cheapest tickets for the match will cost you more than some of the most expensive seats in this year’s NBA and NHL playoffs.

Luckily for USA fans, you will not have to spend nearly as much to view the red, white, and blue boys on the pitch. For their first match against Ghana, the cheapest ticket available is currently $199 with an average ticket price of $579. That is the cheapest of the three matches, so fans looking to save some cash should make sure to check out viagogo for tickets to USA’s June 16th date with Ghana.

As for the second match against Portugal on June 22nd, tickets are a little pricier, with the get-in at $277 and an average ticket price of $597. Portugal boasts one of the best players in the world in Cristiano Ronaldo and the US will be pressed to get points in this match if they fall in defeat to Ghana.

For the final match in the Group stages for the United States, they will face off against Germany, Coach Jurgen Klinsmann’s former squad. This is the most expensive of the three matchups with an average ticket price of $750. The cheapest ticket available currently is $458, so fans hoping to see the US vs. Germany will need to fork over a bit more cash compared to the earliest phases of the Group Stage.
