KMBC Channel 9’s Jim Flink was looking for love online. He had to settle for a scoop. Flink discovered the dating profile of Shon Pernice, whose wife, Renee Pernice, disappeared in January and is thought to be dead.

Flink found Pernice’s dating profile on Plenty of Fish. Hey, it’s been almost two months.

Surprisingly, Shon listed himself as divorced. I guess “it’s complicated” wasn’t a choice. Pernice wrote that he was seeking a “life partner” and mentioned his service in Iraq and his two young sons.

Shon Pernice’s quest to leave the lonely-hearts club is apparently over thanks to cock-blocking Jim Flink. After Flink confronted Shon Pernice about his dating profile, Pernice closed his account.
