Logic to Silverstein Eye Centers Arena, the Xx to Starlight, MST3K to the Midland

As of today, the No. 1 album in the country no longer belongs to Kendrick Lamar. No, the top seller right now is by Logic, a Maryland rapper known for a string of mixtapes that eventually landed him a deal with Def Jam. That new album, Everybody, even features an appearance from everyone’s favorite astrophysicist, Neil DeGrasse-Tyson. Logic is slated for an appearance at Silverstein Eye Centers Arena in Independence on Saturday, August 12. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. tomorrow, May 16, via LiveNation

British band the Xx is also touring on a very good new album, I See You, and is booked for an appearance in KC at Starlight Theatre on Tuesday, October 3. A fan presale begins tomorrow; sign up here today before 5 p.m. to get in on it. Otherwise tickets will be available to the general public on Friday at 10 a.m. via Starlight’s website

And finally (for today, anyway), Mystery Science Theater 3000 (or MST3K) is coming to the Midland on Thursday, August 3. There are two shows here with tickets sold separately for each; one is a stand-alone show featuring Jonah Ray and the various MST3K characters; the other is a movie takedown with Ray and the characters (basically the show). It’s admittedly a little confusing. More info here. Tickets for both shows go on sale this Friday at 10 a.m. via AXS
