Opening for Cursive at RecordBar this Friday, March 2, is Austin’s Ume. The three-piece indie-rock act released Phantoms last year via Modern Outsider and have been touring relentlessly behind the LP ever since. The video for lead single, “Captive,” has made its way from mtvU to the recently returned 120 Minutes, bringing the trio to a whole new set of ears and eyes. Take a listen to the track — which mixes the ethereal shoegaze of My Bloody Valentine with the propulsive indie of Superchunk — below.
