Listen Before the Show: The Atom Age

If you’re going to lift a band’s sound – vocals, riffs, horns and all – you could certainly choose worse than Rocket From the Crypt. Berkeley’s the Atom Age does the full-throttle rock with horns so well, you almost don’t mind that they’ve copped Speedo and company’s signature stylings. The five-piece hits the News Room for a show tonight with locals the Rackatees, Radkey, and the Bad Ideas. There’s no cover, but bring a few bucks to throw the Atom Age for gas money.
