Lineup Announced For This Year’s Crossroads Music Fest

On Saturday, September 12 the 5th Annual Crossroads Music Fest showcases the best in local music, art, and dance, all centered in the Crossroads Art District in downtown Kansas City. Presented by the locally owned and operated Spice of Life Productions, CMF5 will feature 25 bands on six stages: Crosstown Station, Skylight Room, The Brick, Czar Bar, Madrigal and Mercy Seat Alley.
“We’re extremely excited to be able to bring the event back for a fifth year and maintain our commitment to presenting the best in live, Kansas City music. CMF5 provides accessible entertainment for music lovers of all ages, and we look forward to hosting a diverse crowd downtown,” said Crossroads Music Fest’s creator and Spice of Life Productions’ owner Bill Sundahl in a press release.
The Skylight Room will feature a FREE event after 9 p.m. during the Fest. The Kansas City Roller Warriors, the 2007 WFTDA National Champions, will be holding their final afterparty of the season after facing Albuquerque’s Duke City Derby. There will also be discount festival pricing for fans who bring their KCRW ticket stub. Additional amenities at CMF5 include an early Children’s Show at Crosstown Station, free children’s games and activities, free parking, bicycle cabs, and a host of local vendors.
Passes will go on sale July 24 and will be available for $10 through Friday, July 31. From Saturday, August 1 through Friday, September 11, advance passes are $12. Tickets are $15 day of show. Although CMF5 passes provide access into all participating venues, individual venues will also have their own cover charge for attendees who wish to visit one particular location. Tickets are available for purchase at any of the participating venues, as well as Midwestern Music Co. and Earwaxx Records & More.
CMF5 pre-parties will be held on Friday, September 11. The Czar Bar features the Lucky Graves and Crosstown Station has a “Songwriters in the Round” with Jamie Searle , Brian Frame, Gabrielle Tee and Kasey Rausch, followed by performances from The Life & Times and Be/Non.
