Leprechauns of Summer

The Kansas City T-Bones baseball club celebrates St. Patrick’s Day in the middle of summer. The wearing o’ the green when grass turns brown is not an attempt at historical accuracy — St. Patrick really did die on March 17, or so religious scholars believe. Rather, the T-Bones, whose season does not begin until May, simply like to give their fans a chance to turn the emerald portion of their wardrobe into two-for-one bleacher seats. The first 5,000 fans at tonight’s 7:05 p.m. game versus the Gary-SouthShore RailCats also receive a towel from the flumemeisters at Schlitterbahn Vacation Village. CommunityAmerica Ballpark is located at 1800 Village West Parkway in Kansas City, Kansas. Call 913-328-5618.—David Martin
