Lee E. Manning accused of forcible rape

A 27-year-old woman claims she was raped by her neighbor’s boyfriend, “Man-Man,” at her home on Highland on May 2.

Kansas City police believe Man-Man is 24-year-old Lee E. Manning.

The woman told police that she told Manning goodnight when he allegedly started choking her and told her, “Shut the fuck up,” as he led her to her bedroom. The woman claimed she didn’t remember how her or Manning’s clothes ended up off, but he allegedly inserted his penis into her vagina while holding her by the neck.

The woman said she yelled for help, and a witness came into the bedroom. Manning allegedly looked at the woman and the witness “as if he did not understand why she and the victim was upset.” Manning refused to leave. Then the witness put a canned good into a sock and hit him over the head with it five times.
