LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and the Miami Heat will return to Kansas City in October … if the NBA’s labor deal is done

Sprint Center officials announced Monday that LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and the Eastern Conference Champion Miami Heat are scheduled to return to Kansas City for a preseason game with the Houston Rockets. The match-up isn’t as attractive as last
season’s, which featured Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook and the Seattle
SuperSonics
Oklahoma City Thunder (take a look back here). But, hey, we’ll take whatever NBA action we can
get.
The game is scheduled for Saturday, October 15, and tickets go on sale Friday. One thing, though: The NBA is headed for a labor showdown this summer that more than likely will end up with the owners locking out the players, putting preseason (and possibly regular season) games in jeopardy. (The NBA’s summer league has already been canceled, and Tuesday marks an extremely important meeting between the league and players.) So keep that in mind when you’re ordering tickets.
