Lawrence’s new radio station, KAWR

It’s called Lawrence Community Radio — that’s KAWR — and they’re having a coming-out party at Liberty Hall to raise funds to help cover the cost of the station’s projected start-up budget. KAWR will begin broadcasting over the internet after completing its studio, and they hope to be on-air by June of 2012. Help ’em out by going to see these bands: Lonnie Fisher and the Mobile Spirits, Vera, Chuck and Dave, Uncle Dirtytoes, Rachel Anderson, The Late Night Callers, Ricky Dean Sinatra, Tinhorn Molly, Dismantle the Virus and Spooklights.
