Lawrence man accused of beating girlfriend with full beer cans

Some people just don’t know how to take rejection. A Lawrence man didn’t take kindly to being denied a beer early Saturday morning and that’s when trouble started.

A 20-year-old man allegedly asked a friend of his live-in girlfriend for a beer, but the friend didn’t want to share. So the man supposedly took the beer away and when his girlfriend tried to break up the scuffle, he’s accused of battering her with full cans of beer, according to the Lawrence Journal-World. Full cans of beer? That’d really hurt.
