Lauren Denitzio of the Measure [sa] is in the band, not with the band

Lauren Denitzio, of the Measure [sa] and the Worriers, recently completed a compilation of music by female-fronted pop-punk acts. Entitled Are You With the Band?, the title references an unfortunately common question Denitzio has heard asked of many female band members. The comp is due out Tuesday, October 4, on Paper + Plastick Records, as both a digital release and vinyl LP, with all proceeds to benefit Planned Parenthood. We spoke with Denitzio via e-mail about the compilation, and how women are perceived in the punk scene.
