Laura Coltrane found dead in Olathe apartment; death ruled a homicide

Laura Coltrane was found dead in an Olathe apartment last Friday. Police are calling the 25-year-old’s death a homicide.

Coltrane’s body was found around 1:06 p.m. in an apartment on South Lakehurst Street near Water Works Park. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Police initially classified the case as a “death investigation” but upgraded it Saturday afternoon to a homicide.
