Landon Carlson, 3, dies after being hit by hit-and-run driver

The most depressing story you’ll read today is about 3-year-old Landon Michael Carlson‘s death. Carlson died Wednesday after being struck by a hit-and-run driver on Tuesday afternoon.

Carlson had crossed Pittman Road in front of his home to check a mailbox when he was hit around 5 p.m., the Star reported. Carlson suffered major head injuries and died Wednesday afternoon. Also Wednesday, a 64-year-old man turned himself in to Raytown police. No word on charges yet.
