Lakeshia M. Ross, KCMO homicide 26: Police ID woman found in burning hotel room

Kansas City police say 34-year-old Lakeshia M. Ross was the woman whose body was found in a burning motel room Saturday morning.

Ross’ body was found in a burning room at the Relax Inn Motel, 6300

Blue Parkway. Police initially called Ross’ death “suspicious” and are

calling this a homicide investigation. Police believe the fire was

intentionally set.

Ross was pronounced

dead at the scene. Ross’ cause of death was not released.
