Kris Kobach-Sheriff Joe rally loses its venue, but the blowhard beat rolls on

The power-abusing sheriff at the center of Arizona’s war on Mexicans won’t be allowed to appear with a local anti-immigration crusader on a local college campus next week — but that won’t stop their crazy train from rolling through town.

Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio — the Phoenix lawman to whom our sister paper, Phoenix New Times, has devoted reams of investigative reporting over the years — was scheduled to appear with UMKC law professor, Kansas Secretary of State candidate and author of Arizona’s controversial immigration law Kris Kobach at a rally next week. But the college hosting the event got cold feet.
