Know it before the show: stream Mastodon, Twin Sister’s new albums

It’s always smart to get acquainted with a band’s new album before seeing the live show, wouldn’t you agree? Mastodon is currently streaming its new record, The Hunter (out September 27). Catch the metal mavens with the Dillinger Escape Plan and Red Fang, at 7:30 p.m. Monday, November 14, at the Beaumont. Tickets cost $27.50.

Twin Sister is supporting the Pains of Being Pure at Heart on the band’s fall tour. Catch ‘em both at the Bottleneck on October 13. Doors open at 7 p.m., and tickets cost $12. Stereogum is streaming Twin Sister’s new album, In Heaven. It’s out on September 27, too (via Pitchfork).
