Killa City: Witnesses testify that man admitted to KCK quadruple homicide

A 3-year-old girl was shot to death in a late-June quadruple homicide in Kansas City, Kansas. The girl’s body was found on a sidewalk outside of a home at 5234 Muncie Drive.
That’s just one of the horrible details coming out of Adrian W. Burks‘ preliminary hearing yesterday as reported in today’s edition of The Kansas City Star.
Burks is charged with killing 21-year-old Amanda J. Remmers, 66-year-old James A. Warren, 41-year-old Peggy Castleberry and 3-year-old Juanita D. Castleberry-Bess.
Witnesses reportedly testified yesterday that Burks showed up at the house with a gun and left them messages alluding to bad shit happening at the house.
One witness recalled waiting in the driveway for Remmers when Burks
showed up with a gun over his shoulder and told him to leave.
He didn’t argue. About 30 minutes later, the man claimed Burks called and told him
not to go back to the house. But he did.
From the Star story:
He and his father returned to the house, he said, and found the child dead on the sidewalk and her mother dead in a doorway.
