Killa City update

The man accused of killing 19-year-old Jasmine Lynn reportedly claims that he didn’t fire the stray bullet that killed the college student — his best friend did.

Prosecutors aren’t buying it; they say 21-year-old Devonni Benton is their man.

In other news, a Jackson County jury convicted Sylvester Sisco II yesterday of first-degree murder in the death of Jacob Briggs at the Filling Station Restaurant and Lounge in South Kansas City in 2006, KCUR reports.

From The Kansas City Star:

Although surveillance camera video clearly shows Sisco’s brother, Anthony D. Sisco, participating in the shootings, images of the second shooter were less conclusive.

Sisco, 27, will serve the rest of his life in prison.
