Killa City: Teen tells Fox 4 that he wasn’t involved in homicide

A 16-year-old boy told Fox 4 that he wasn’t involved in a shooting that killed a man a couple weeks ago.

“I’m not no shooter,” the 16-year-old told Fox 4. “I’m a little kid. C’mon. I can’t kill nobody.”

The interview took place just before the teen spoke with homicide detectives, who wanted to question the teen about the killing of Eric Taylor.

Taylor, 26, was fatally shot on June 21.

Court records say Taylor was shot by a man known as “Streets.” A witness told police that she loaned her SUV to her

step-son, Dshawn Marchbanks, and another teen known as “Streets.” The owner of the SUV told police that “Streets” was “feuding”

with Taylor over an incident two weeks prior in which Taylor kicked “Streets” out of the SUV owner’s home.

On June 24, Jackson County prosecutors charged another teen, 17-year-old Dshawn L. Marchbanks, with

second-degree murder, armed criminal action and unlawful use of a

weapon.

“I ain’t do that,” the teen told Fox 4. “They trippin’.”

The teen also told Fox 4 that he was being accused of another homicide,

which he also denied.
