Killa City: Rap on YouTube mentions homicide victim Raheem Marchbanks

A 16-year-old boy was gunned down in the 2600 block of Jackson Monday. Now the family of homicide victim Raheem Marchbanks say a rap song posted on YouTube (it’s since been pulled down) mentions Marchbanks by name and gives the location of the homicide as well as a promise of more violence to come, KSHB Channel 41 reports.

The song is by Garfield Tha Gunna512. In photographs on the group’s MySpace page, the members throw up gang signs and brandish handguns and assault rifles. Also on the site is a screen shot of a TV report from 2007 about murder charges being filed against Markus Lee, Rayshawn Taylor and Richard Cooper. The murder in question was the killing of gang member Eliseo Thomas.

KMBC Channel 9 reports that the song spoke of Marchbanks’ killing before it happened, and other family members are named in the song.

Marchbanks is the second family member to meet a violent end this year. On April 24, Marchbanks’ 17-year-old cousin Teri’yonna Stevenson was shot and killed at 3627 Michigan.
