Killa City: Police shoot man who allegedly charged them with a knife
Carlos Rosa’s girlfriend told detectives that her boyfriend “wanted to die a violent death as his murdered father did.” Court records say Rosa almost got his death wish in the early morning hours of February 10.
The records say Rosa charged Kansas City Police officers with a large silver knife at an apartment building at 524 Maple Blvd. Rosa allegedly refused to drop the knife, so the officers shot him.
That didn’t stop Rosa, who tried to run away, but officers shocked him
with a taser. He was taken to the hospital for his injuries.
Today, Jackson County prosecutors charged Rosa with assault on a law enforcement officer and armed criminal action.
