And there was more bloodshed this weekend. Grief counselors will be at Northeast High School on Monday after a 17-year-old senior was “accidentally shot” over the weekend, the Kansas City, Missouri School District announced in a press release. The young woman is on life support; her organs are being donated. KSHB Channel 41 reports that the girl, Charmaine Jamison, was shot in the face by her boyfriend in the 3400 block of Bellefontaine. The girl’s mother doesn’t want to press charges against the boyfriend.

Update (4:10 p.m., September 14): Charmaine Jamison died today, Kansas City police say.
