Killa City: KCPD name KCMO homicide victim No. 43, Dalon Harness

Kansas City police say the man stabbed to death in a domestic disturbance Monday night in the 400 block of West 87th Place was 31-year-old Dalon Harness.

Witnesses told police that Harness was arguing about the custody of a child with his ex-girlfriend and another man. Then Harness was stabbed. Harness was taken to a local hospital where he died.

Harness’ ex-girlfriend and another man were arrested at the scene. Police say charges in the case are pending.

Missouri court records show that Dalon Eugene Harness was ordered in August to pay $327 a month in child support. Court records also show two protection orders filed against a Dalon Harness in 2008.

A July 2008 story in the Kansas City Business Journal about Ford’s Claycomo plant shows a picture of a Dalon Harness, identified as an employee of TransGlobal Design & Manufacturing LLC, inspecting new Ford Escapes.
