Killa City: KCMO homicide No. 97, Yolanda Walker

Yolanda M. Walker was identified as the victim of Sunday night’s homicide.
Walker, 38, was found shot to death inside a Dodge minivan in the 6600 block of South Benton around 10 p.m.
Kansas City police say they are still looking for suspects.
Friends have started to leave tributes on Walker’s Facebook page on which Walker lists two children and her hometown as Wichita, Kansas.
Walker writes that she attended West High School, class of 1989. There’s even a clipping and photo from the Wichita Eagle of Walker playing basketball for West in Class 6A girls’ sub-state.
There are also photos of her preteen son in his football uniform and her daughter wearing a top hat and gown at graduation and a tribute to a young man who died young.
Last Friday, Walker wrote a blog on MySpace titled “I still LOVE YOU!”
I still love you baby, 6yrs was a long time, but we came to a point where we did not want to fight no more for it. I see you have moved on and I wish YOU all the happiness……I will try not to ever forget what we shared, our kids, losing our son, and mother, and most of all losing one another…. this is from the heart, I still LOVE YOU….
