Killa City: KCMO homicide No. 54, fatally wounded Anthony Barnett, 24, pushed from vehicle at 20th and Kensington
Update: KCPD identified the victim as 24-year-old Anthony Barnett, adding that the address his body was dumped in front of was indeed his home.
An unidentified man was shot in the abdomen, then pushed out of a vehicle at the corner of 20th Street and Kensington Avenue Monday afternoon.
According to Capt. Richard Lockhart of the KCPD, officers responded to a shooting call at 4:43 p.m. to find the victim in the street. The car allegedly also ran over the man’s leg while driving away. He was a man in his 20s or 30s, and his body was reportedly already surrounded by friends and family, so he may have lived in the area. Paramedics declared him dead at the scene.
