Killa City: KCMO homicide No. 108, man shot near 44th and Wyoming

The man shot this morning near 44th and Wyoming has died, according to the KCPD.

The victim, who police say is in his 40s, was reportedly walking to work around 6 a.m. when he was approached by another man. The man attempted to rob the victim, who put up a fight and was shot in the stomach.

The suspect ran north on Wyoming then east on Westport Road.

The victim was alive when police responded to the scene. He was transported to St. Luke’s Hospital, where he died from his injuries.
